You can tell how much they care about their elephants and is truly a family run place. Small and beautiful. The waterfall by the place you stay is absolutely incredible. After coming we will return.

Jacks place is amazing and so obvious that he loves his elephants. We had a full day here, a taxi was send to pick us up & transferred us to a jeep for the last 10mins down his track to the homestead. We walked to find the elephants and they walked back to the homestead area by choice with us where we gave them a selection of bananas, corn and sugarcane. We were able to have a dip in the river and the baby elephant chose to join me in there for a while. Lunch, tea/coffee and water was provided and later we walked the elephants back to their wooded area.
Would highly recommend, very eco friendly and ethical way to experience seeing the elements. Thanks Jack and hope your house is finished soon 🐘 🏡 x

This might be one of my favourite places in the world. The way Jack cares for the elephants is so wonderful. They are only brought out in the morning and you get to walk with them through the jungle while they rummage. You can touch them but they are very much living at their own pace. His family home is lovely and cosy and they make the most delicious food and tea. You can swim in the water and fall asleep in a hammock listening to the waterfall while cuddling a cat. The best value experience I've ever had. Jack and his family go above and beyond. I will be back for sure.

Le Cher Elephant Home is the way to go if you’re looking for an elephant experience in Thailand! I spent the past ten days volunteering here, and Jack truly cares about and puts his elephant’s needs first. You can spend a half or full day with the elephants, and you walk with them through the jungle. You can choose to spend a night at his homestay as well, which is very cozy and the food they cook is delicious!! Also there are kittens who will sit on your lap all night if you let them. Highly highly recommend.

I applied for a half-day tour.
I liked the place so much that I stayed there for one night and came back.

It was nice that they made my stay so comfortable.

After leaving the dusty city of Chiang Mai for about an hour and a half, stars were pouring down from the sky. Peace of mind is a bonus 🙂

What a fantastic time we had at Le Cher. Jack and his family are fantastic hosts. The surroundings are very special and it is so nice to see the care that’s shown to the elephants, certainly very different to the places we drove past to get there. We will definitely be returning for two nights next year, certainly one of the highlights of our trip.

I think this place is the most eco-friendly and good for elephants in the area. The farm is deep in the forest and tourists are not here every day - the owner is primarily interested in animals, not in making money with animals. After visiting this place, it seems that all other "eco-friendly" places nearby are just business and not as animal-friendly as they claim on their websites.

I took a bet to take my two little kids (3-month-old and 3-year-old) to this far away place that lacks regular hotel amenities. I'm glad I did. Will always remember soothing my baby four in the morning with the lullaby of the waterfall. Will always rember my older son running around in the nature freely and happily. The hosts are people of few words, but that doesn't prevent us from feeling their hard-work and sincerity. The accommodation rooms are simple. You can expect they are just better than camping. But even for a city person like me, trading two nights of hotel comfort for the exclusivity to be embraced by absolute nature with my loved ones is worth it. I highly recommend it to people who like nature, adventure, and are looking for experiences that is hard to find.
